2009 Mopar Drift Dodge Challenger Bows at SEMA Show

2009 Mopar Drift Dodge Challenger Bows at SEMA Show

One of the major complaints about the 2009 Dodge Challenger is the car's rather hefty curb weight. Luckily, that's one of the first things the Mopar crew changed when creating the 2009 Mopar Drift Dodge Challenger.

A drastic weight reduction was needed, so the Mopar group replaced most of the body panels with carbon fiber. An aluminum V-8 produces an estimated 850 hp and 849 lb-ft of torque replaces the stock SRT Hemi and turns the BF Goodrich tires into some serious clouds of smoke almost instantly. Other modifications to the car include a roll cage and a carbon fiber splitter and rear wing.

Samuel Hübinette will compete with this car in the 2009 Formula Drift series. Hübinette has two FD series championships with his Mopar team.
