Godspeed to Jack Kezele - former Chrysler Employee

NEWTON FALLS — Jack Kezele, 86, 117 Bane Ave., passed away peacefully to eternal life at 2:32 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the St. Joseph Medical Center following a brief illness.

Jack was born May 25, 1921, in Milwaukee, the loving son of Frank J. Kezele and Rose Gerchar Kezele.

After graduating high school he joined the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946 as a member of the Seabees and served during World War II.

He married the love of his life Elizabeth Bertalan on Jan. 7, 1946, and she survives.

Jack lived in Newton Falls since 1960, and formerly lived in Lake Milton.

Jack worked at Mullins in Warren as a tool and die maker until 1960. Then, he worked at Chrysler Corp. in Twinsburg as a pipefitter and tool and die maker until his retirement in 1985.

He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Church for many years, a member of the Croation Club and the Newton Falls American Legion and VFW.

Jack enjoyed playing cards with his brother, bowling, golfing, playing horseshoes for the VFW and was a Golden Gloves boxer while he was in the service.

Memories of Jack will be carried on by his loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Kezele of Newton Falls; his daughters and son-in-laws, Kathryn and James Lewis of Newton Falls, Rosemary and Ronald Domyanich of Warren Township and Diana and Brian Kurtz of Newton Falls; two sons, John Kezele of Newton Falls and Thomas Kezele of Eugene, Ore.; a brother, Charles Kezele of Winchester, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Timothy Lewis, Kimberely Schab, Jennifer Mozak, Lori Cox, Robert Domyanich, Cole Kurtz and Jessie-May Kezele; and six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Arielle, Parker, Mackenzie, Elizabeth and Jacob.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Ann Bradley, Mary O’Brock and Frances Altman; and three brothers, Frank, Joseph and George Kezele.

The family asks that all donations be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 131 W. Quarry St., Newton Falls 44444.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at James Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Newton Falls with the Rev. Matthew Mankoski officiating.

Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the James Funeral Home. Jack will be buried at St. Joseph Cemetery.
